Ossium Stud Earrings

"Ossium", latin for "bones" have been used as Memento Mori since the ancient Rome and Greece, when people would carry tokens and depictions of skulls and bones as a reminder of their mortality and that life is precious. "Memento Mori" literally means "remember you must die" which, to be honest, is so straight-to-the-point that I really respect it.

These little bones are only 1.5cm long and are cast in solid recycled sterling silver or 9ct gold to remind you that life is precious. We're here for a good time, not a long time and all that!

No animals were hurt to create this jewellery, I found the bone in a decomposed pile of unknown animal origin (possibly rabbit) at Alderley Edge, UK.
